Past few years the haircut with shaved sides and hair on top gained popularity. Look at the football games and you see many players with it. It looks really weird, kind of 40s/punk/tribal hybrid thing. What do you think of it?

How is this shocking? Odd hairstyles have been around for centuries. If you were present in late 18th-century French courts, you would have seen Her Royal Highness Marie Antoinette with a boat in her hair.

What I don't like is girls shaving one side of their head and leaving the rest of their hair the way it is.

Ha no, not shocking. It would be if people started to carve patterns in their skin (which are not tattoos), but it is interesting that apparently it is a trend to wear an island on the head.

Scarification is a thing, but it's not near as common as tattoos because of the process.
