I quite enjoy that PB song, but I was not surprised that it didn't make the Canadian Hot 100.  Today's music listeners don't tend to groove on older bands when it comes to today's sound.  Their loss I suppose.  PB still sound great

What do you get when you mix beautiful women with catchy music?  Two of my favourite songs of 2012 ...

Here is the debut solo single Young from British singer Tulisa.  I love this woman alot!  She's never made success in North America (don't think her albums/singles were even released here), but this reached #1 in her native land ...

Here is another great one from Jolly ol' England that never made waves in North America, but was #1 in the UK.  Featuring music and production by Scottish DJ Calvin Harris, here is Cheryl Cole with Call My Name ...

You'd be surprised at how many kids are listening to Platinum Blonde because of Crystal Castles.  Mark Holmes was involved in remixing  and redoing the Crystal Castles version of Not In Love and he even sent them a copy of the song because they couldn't get Not In Love on I-Tunes.

Mark Holmes said in an interview that he likes to stay current because he didn't really want to be a part of that scene where musicians stop writting and cash in on what they had done previously.

"Love Will Set You Free" is a ballad written by Swedish producer Martin Terefe and Ivor Novello Awards winner Sacha Skarbek and is sung by Engelbert Humperdinck. It was the United Kingdom entry to 2012 Eurovision Song Contest, held in Baku, Azerbaijan, where it ultimately placed 25th.

2012 gave us the worst year of the decade for music. Many of these songs were incredibly popular and ubiquitous, not only making them painful, but also annoying!! Here are the worst songs in the top 30 of the 2012 Billboard hot 100 year end lists.

Somebody That I Used to Know - Gotye Okay, I like pretentious music, but this is just ridiculous. The song is nowhere NEAR as good as it's ubiquity justified.
Call Me Maybe - Carly Rae Jepsen I will forever think of the 2012 Olympics...
We Are Young - fun. These guys were just too silly for words. I hated Nate Reuss in this band, I actually like his music when he went solo.
Glad You Came - The Wanted This reminds me of the dudes that try to spike girls' drinks at parties
Starships - Nicki Minaj *sigh* that breakdown ruins everything..
What Makes You Beautiful - One Direction teenybopper little girls music
Sexy and I Know It - LMFAO the dumbest melody and lyrics of my sophomore year of high school
Some Nights - fun. Over the top, tries-to-be-deeper-than-it-really-is kind of song
The Motto - Drake eeeeeeeeeuuggggghhhhhhhh!
Where Have You Been - Rihanna Like with "Starships", I don't like the breakdown. It's lack of melody ruins the exotic build-up during the verses.
I Won't Give Up - Jason Mraz This brings back awful road trip memories.
Mercy - Kanye West This isn't even music.
Boyfriend - Justin Bieber I don't like Justin Bieber at all
Party Rock Anthem - LMFAO Irritating and repetitive. I hate the pauses in the song.

"I Won't Give Up" is a song by American singer-songwriter Jason Mraz. It was released as the first official single from his fourth studio album, Love Is a Four Letter Word on January 3, 2012 via iTunes. It was written by Mraz and Michael Natter, and produced by Joe Chiccarelli. The song was also a success on the charts, debuting at number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming his second top-ten single, after "I'm Yours" (2008). Internationally, the song achieved large success, reaching top-ten positions in Ireland and Netherlands, while reaching top-twenty positions in Austria, Canada, the United Kingdom and more.

"Skyfall" received various accolades, including the Academy Award for Best Original Song, Brit Award for British Single of the Year, Critics' Choice Movie Award Best Song, Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song, and the Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media, thus making it the first Bond theme to win all the aforementioned awards. During the 85th Academy Awards, Adele performed the song live for the first time.
