Just about to go over to have dinner with my tiny family! For which my heart gives Thanks! You know, I'd sort of forgotten about giving thanks for stuff on purpose... you know, more than just saying "oh good." about something. :\'(

Essentially, I was being silly. You said "Thanks, but Thanksgiving was a month ago." Which it wasn't, so YOU were being silly. And so then I said, "Then why are you giving thanks"... referring to how you had just said "Thanks..." get it? giving thanks? :P

If "Slim95" is from Canada, then Thanksgiving was (at that time) a month and a half ago.
Canadian thanksgiving is in early to mid-October.

lol Yes, Thanksgiving was over a month ago for me. In Mid-October. Wasn't trying to be silly. :P
