So I won't lie - I'm a huge Carly Rae fan. This is my favorite off her album. The whole album is good actually, even her song with Justin Bieber, though it's the weakest.
As sick as we all are of Call Me Maybe by now, you gotta admit it was a pretty unique song, with that string solo and all no?

Anne Murray was Canada's sweetheart. Very popular years ago. I still think of her as Canada's sweetheart. Sorry to say, I don't know who Carly rae is.

Never heard of it, never heard of her. I actually just tried listening to it on youtube and I only listened to the first 20 seconds, can't stand it.

You should check out the song I posted at the beginning of this thread, it's much better in my opinion. :)

I think she has kinda a throwback sorta sound, but yeah, I know what you mean, sometimes you can tell if you hate an artist just by listening to them for a few seconds. ;D

Carly Rae Jepsen was a contestant on Season 5 of the reality series Canadian Idol in 2007. I don't mind her music, but it's nothing to scream about.
I will say her dance/pop stuff she does now, I like better than the adult contemporary stuff that was on her first album in 2008

I agree, honestly I thought her early material was sort of snore-worthy, but I really like what she's been turned into.
