It seems like blood, gore, serial killers, brutality and so on was all the rage in the 70's, 80's, 90's, and early 00's in live action movies and also in animation. The cartoons from the 90's and early 00's were so violent, the only current one I can think that's gruesome and brutal is Adventure Time. Gangsta rap, punk, heavy metal and other genres that incorporated violence are also less mainstream. Do you think pop culture is becoming more squeamish and clean?

On the other hand I hear more profanity on TV than I ever heard in the 90's and early 00's, though it doesn't stand out as much since it's just how people talk now.  ::)

I'm with Jim...most of the topics you start have been discussed before...many if them several times before. I think many of us would prefer you research the different boards and see the old divisions rather than starting all over again.



And, since I didn't want to be the first to mention it, your posting style is really similar to a member who seems to like to come back again and again.
