Apparently Lark Voorhies, who played Tootie in the Saturday morning classic "Saved By The Bell" gave an incoherent interview to People Mag, and her mother followed up claiming that Lark is bipolar and that the cancellation of SBTB, along with a divorce, messed her up. Lark denied this, asked later.

I just read this yesterday too. (By the way, she was Lisa. Tootie was on Facts of Life)

Her mom says Lark in mentally ill,and  has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. The disease, also called manic-depressive disorder, involves mood extremes and is considered a long-term condition, according to the Mayo Clinic.

"That may account for Voorhies' weird behavior during a Yahoo interview last May and in a series of interviews with People, which described her mumbling to herself and abruptly stopping what she was saying.  Voorhies hasn't been keen on the idea of seeing a mental health professional, the magazine said. She attributes her ramblings to "a strong spiritual sense."

I hope Lark gets some help. Life isn't fun for her right now.  :-[

Yeah Mario did cheat on Ali Landry but at least he has a job for "Entertainment Tonight". He is a cool guy I think besides the cheating.

There was no cancellation of "Saved By The Bell". The first class graduated in 1993. After all they are not gonna stay in High School forever. After they graduated in 1993 "Saved By The Bell: The New Class" started after that with a whole new cast except for Mr. Belding I think(somebody could correct me if I am wrong on that.) Some or most of the cast did leave after the first and second season. A few new characters though were added as was  Dustin Diamond(aka Screech) who come back to become Mr. Belding's assistant in the 3rd season maybe(1995-1996 I think.)

Another Series did start "Saved By The Bell(the College Years)" to follow "Saved By The Bell"(the class that graduated in 1993.) The characters Zack and Slater were retained and Kelly came on to be a character later on in the show's run. No Lisa was not a character on the show but she did make an appearence in the last 2 shows at the end of the series run when Zack and Kelly got married. I think Screech was retained as well but not sure if he did "The New Class" and "The College Years" at the same time. This stuff brings me back writing all this!

That begs the question why wasn't the character(Lisa) brought back for "The College Years"? I mean she had a moderate part of the show(Saved By The Bell) and even started on the show in 1989 along with the character Zack. Other characters like Mikey and Miss Bliss were cut out of the show after the first season I think(1989-1990) and characters Slater, Kelly, and Jesse(Elizabeth Berkeley) were brought in for the 1990-1991 season I believe.

SBTB-TCY kinda sucked in my opinion.  Without Elizabeth Berkeley  :-* or even Tiffany Amber-Thiessen (until it was too late) it had already jumped the SBTB shark, so to speak.

I would kinda like to see a SBTB reunion series though.  Maybe the old gang can come together and start a charter school.  :P
