That M83 sound like Echo and the Bunnymen? Like their song 'Midnight City'.

When I first heard this song, I thought wow, this band sounds like it's from the 80's, and I never heard them before! But then upon further listening, I realized it was a current dance pop song. I don't know I can sort of see the Echo and the Bunnymen reference, but it literally sounds so heavy on the synthpop references and I would say there are definitely some influences too, IMO. I think they also sort of sound like Depeche Mode, The Police, and LCD Soundsystem.
