The best thing about the Internet for me is being able to track down and buy old issues of magazines, books, city maps and newspapers you used to have as a child/teen. Anyone agree? I mean there are loads of things to do on the Internet, but this is the one I enjoy the most and I'm not really into Facebooking and IM. ;)

The entire world is at your fingertips-information, music, t.v., movies, almost anything you want to know. You also get to communicate with people from all over the world. And you can do all of this while sitting in your underwear. (Not saying that I do but you CAN do it. :D ;D ;D ;D )

10 reasons the internet rocks:
1. You can find research information very quickly without ever leaving your house or cracking open a book.
2. You can find a sense of community online as there are many websites which target individual interests.
3. Your physical appearance doesn't come across as a barrier because on most websites you only have text to rely on as a means of communication.
4. You can watch videos on websites such as YouTube.
5. You can rediscover old friends from highschool or build new ones on Facebook.
6. You can talk to people anytime of the day or night and connect to others across the ocean.
7. You can ask anything on the internet and get answers that you would be too embarrassed to find out in real life.
8. You can find online homework help if you are struggling in classes.
9. You can play video games online.
10. You can communicate with people through email if you don't feel like going to their office and dealing with them face-to-face.
