They are not that famous. They had one hit in the 90s and that's all.

In the U.S., yes. I remember it very well; "Tubthumping" was all over the radio in 1997/98.

Yeah I never understood why they had to play the cr@p out of that tune. I suppose it was because they could get away with playing "p*ssing the night away" on the airwaves back then.

Are you suggesting that you don't suffer from long-term memory loss?

Because a lot of people seem to have forgotten that Chumbawumba was a two-hit wonder :)

Between 1986 and 2012, Chumbawamba released 17 albums
Chumbawamba is best known for 'Tubthumping' which was their long entry into the US Hot 100, but the UK and Canada also knew them for 'Amnesia' which was the follow-up.

Now that the group has broken up, anybody who has a complete set of the 17-album Chumbawamba Anthology may have a valuable collection.

Agreed. When you're doing a cover of an anarchist band, the video should look rough. ;D

Or you should (dammit, I can't find it on YouTube, but I didn't look too hard)...
Lounge it up! There was Tubthumping (Timeshard remix) that was halfway between techno (Damn, that Zion Train 359 mix works too, but I'm going for lounge here), and a straight-up ... wait, found one!
Ryw2SRTE8o0
- Chumbawamba, Amnesia (Jimmy Echo Version)
Ah, there we go. The right balance between dance and lounge. Even if you hated the original, those remixes are worth checking out.

I think America has been an anarchy ever since the press hijacked the last election! But that's for another thread. ::)
Did you know that when Chumbawumba was performing "Tubthumping" on The Tonight Show here in the States, one of them was wearing a T-shirt that read ONE HIT WONDER ?
Your Pal,
Doc
