Apparently young girls soak a tampoon in vodka before, uh, *using* the item.  Even guys are doing this by inserting them in the back door.   :o  This is known apparently as "butt chugging".

Fascinating.  It's got all the disadvantages of booze, with none of the flavor, and (as a bonus) because the alcohol is absorbed directly into the bloodstream via the mucus membranes, there's no opportunity for the stomach to puke out any excess alcohol as a safety measure.  All the risks of alcohol poisoning, and none of the failsafes that your ancestors evolved over the past 3 billion wasted years!

Moral of the story:  If you dislike the taste of alcohol so much that you prefer to consume it rectally, you should either buy better booze or just admit that perhaps alcohol's not your drug of choice.  If something's butt still has to be involved somehow, become a coffee snob instead!

Our office got some in a few months ago; interesting flavor, very mild, almost no bitterness.  It's worth trying for the sake of being able to say you've tried it, but at even at ThinkGeek's good price, we weren't inclined to order another packet.  (But did we regret it?  Hell, no!  At least we can say we drank it. :)
