Subject: Whiz Kalifa Earns Nine BET Award Nominations
Written By: LyricBoy on 09/08/11 at 8:19 pm
Looks like Picksburgh's own Whiz is really the "next big thing" in rap/hiphop with nominations for:
• Rookie of the Year
• MVP of the Year
• CD of the Year ("Rolling Papers")
• Made-You-Look Award for hip-hop style
• Track of the Year ("Black and Yellow")
• Verizon People's Champ Award (Viewers' Choice) ("Black and Yellow")
• Best Club Banger ("Black and Yellow")
• Sweet 16: Best Featured Verse (on Tinie Tempah's "Till I'm Gone")
• Sweet 16: Best Featured Verse (Cee Lo Green's "Bright Lights, Bigger City")
Whiz is a bit of a throwback artist, as his raps are usually about smoking bud, having a good time, and chicks.

His style is nothing new or revolutionary so it will fade.
I like B.o.B better.

I remember first hearing him in 2008 with that song "Say Yeah" that sampled "Better off Alone" which was a song I liked back then. Now he's made a pretty big name of himself after "Black and Yellow", "Roll Up", "No Sleep". He's good I think, not one of the greatest rappers of all time, but good in the modern hip-hop realm.

Went to high school with him. Saw him everyday during breakfast time. He's cool and chill. Good for him
