Subject: Sir Tom Jones in Monaco hospital after heart scare

The singer Sir Tom Jones is in hospital after a heart scare forced him to cancel a concert in Monaco on Saturday night, according to reports.

Princess Grace Hospital in Monte Carlo confirmed the 71-year-old Welsh singer was a patient, and said he was well.

His performance on Saturday at the Salle des Etoiles at the seafront Sporting Club was cancelled.

French media say his condition stabilised before he was moved from an emergency ward to a regular ward.
