Subject: When will Facebook and Twitter die out?
Written By: Kitkat1991 on 04/30/11 at 7:53 am
We all know Myspace was huge from like 2005-2007 and even some of 2008. So when do you think Facebook and Twitter will fade away? I give Facebook until 2012-13, I'm not sure about Twitter though.

Twitter? 2012-2013 i would say.
Facebook on the other hand, I actually expect to last a very long time - maybe even well into the 2020s.

I can see Facebook being around for many years to come(unless something else comes along that people consider to be better).Twitter seems like much more of a fad so it maybe has a few years left.

Yeah, I thing Twitter is already starting to fade out. I hardly ever go on there. You can follow the same post as their tweets on their FB pages.
Facebook is like Yahoo. Remember in the late 90's when there were so many other web email sites that weren't as successful as Yahoo, such as Excite, Juno, and even AOL? It's the same with social networking sites. Even before MySpace there was Friendster and Hi-5, which I don't think are around anymore. There maybe something new that could rival FB.

When people discover that all can be read about themselves online with Facebook and Twitter, especially future employees, the two will die out.

Facebook isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Myspace died out because it was very buggy and had inferior security settings.
Not sure about Twitter, but its probably a fad.
