Seems that the fortunes of the once-heralded Flip video camera have faltered.
Today its maker, Cisco, flipped it the bird. :o

WOAH. That's really surprising. I thought those cameras we're doing really well. From the looks of that article Kodak and Sony must be doing better...which isn't necessarily a bad thing considering how bad Kodak's been doing.

CSCO has always had problems understanding what to do with consumer-grade gadgets, vs. enterprise-level gadgets.
As long as it's taking the writedown on its $590M acquisition of Pure Digital, Cisco should Open Source the Flip.
