Rap music causes individuals to be violent, aggressive, pushy and have no respect for others.
Without the youth being able to distinguish fantasy from reality rap music has turned the youth more violent, utterly disrespectful and it is teaching them that it's acceptable to have multiple babies' mommas, stand on the block and hustle or even kill someone over a minor disagreement.
What is going to happen to the generation who will be raised by this one? If rap music continues on the path our youth are traveling now the next generation will be unimaginably unsalvageable. The next generation will be born into a world where a gun will be as common as a pacifier; all because of the influence music has over teens.

I'm not really a fan of Rap music but to play devil's advocate, some of the same things you complain about have been said about other genres of music, including that Heavy Metal will make you kill yourself and worship satan  ::)

I'm not really a fan of rap either but it's not really rap's fault if people are influenced to act in certain ways because of it. It's the listener's fault for not realizing that rap is just entertainment.

Also keep in mind people said the same about rock music at one time, and jazz before that.

Besides that style of rap is kind of on the way out anyway.

Rap is now converted and not dangerous.
In fact, electronic is the new devils music.

rap is fun to listen to with friends, but it's not melodic enough for me. plus im not a huge fan of profanity in music.
