Subject: Ernest Borgnine Receives SAG Lifetime Achievement Award

Written By: LyricBoy on 01/31/11 at 6:25 pm

At long last, at the spry age of 94, McHale's Navy star Ernest Borgnine received the Screen Actor's Guild lifetime achievement award.

In addition to his distinguished acting career, Borgnine is also known for his 30-day marriage to Ethel Merman, and his mastery of the "Dutch Oven maneuver", two issues which share a cause-and-effect relationship.   ;D

Congrats Ernie!  8)  Thanks for all the laughs on McHale's Navy!!!  :)

Good for him.  Enjoyed him in Airwolf and liked him as a superhero on Spongebob

I liked him in 'Escape From New York' and the 90s sitcom 'The Single Guy'.  OF all the things he did, that final episode of 'ER' that he did was what I thought his greatest performance.

"Chuka" is another film where Ernie turned in a fantastic performance, as the Army sargeant loyal to his wimpy commander.  8)
