I had a half-day off today and whilst watching some TV, an ad came on for a clear ball called Fushigi.  The people on the ad did all sorts of hand juggling with it, making it look like it was defying gravity.

Has anybody here gotten a Fushigi? ???  If so, what's the scoop?

I've seen it in some malls but never saw anyone playing with one... 

I watched a video showing how durable it was, and.... it can survive most small falls, but drop it off a balcony and it's in 2 pieces. Much less durable than an acrylic ball.

My hubby says it's just a gyroscope.  Sounds logical to me.  I still want two or three, but at $20 for each one, they are WAY above my price range.

have you seen those fuzzy worms that move all over your hand and stuff? There's a magnetic strip or something that you hide on your person and it reacts to that... maybe the ball is similar.

Well they told me 14.99 but I paid 10 for one to put in my moms stocking.

Both my kids got them...

It's an optical illusion.  It's a clear plastic/acrylic ball with a reflective inner ball, nothing more.  The people on the commercials are "contact jugglers".  They are highly skilled and can make any ball appear to defy gravity.
