Actually, this is one American who would NOT say the U.S. because of SOOOOO many reasons. For me, the best countries (IMO) would be Canada, Sweden, and/or Norway. The U.S. would be towards the bottom of the list. Why? Because there is so much potential but it is run by a bunch of @$$holes who thinks the mighty dollar is more important than social justice.  (The Netherlands would definitely be in the top 10.  ;) )

What makes it best is that its technologically advanced, it has a low crime rate, it is efficient and well maintained, and it has the best overall quality of life. As an added bonus, all the hot Japanese girls make it heaven for a single American guy  ;).

I do not hate American-I just hate what it has become. I am NOT un-American. I am actually pro-American which is why I hate what my country has become. Why do I stay here? Because it is MY HOME. Like I said in my previous post that she does have the potential to be a great nation and I will stay and fight for her to become that great nation.

I am totally amazed because you are Canadian, right? Yet, you know more about what is going on in the U.S. than many Americans. (I really hate using that term just about people from the U.S. because Canadians, Mexicans, as well as everyone from South American are also Americans.  ;) )

Thanks, I am just happen to be someone who watches both Canadian and American news, quite a lot.  Off hand, Lloyd Robertson (who is sadly retiring soon), Anderson Copper, Brian Williams, Peter Jennings, and Rachel Maddow are my favorite journalists.

Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly, Shawn Hannity and Geraldo Rivera?  Not so much.

You know, maybe three generations of scorn for the intelligentsia takes its toll.  If you discourage intellectuals from joining your movement, you tend to run out of things to say and ways to say it!  I don't want a president from the Heartland, I want a president from the Smartland!
