Well 2015 you sure are making a lot of topics.  Seven topics on the front page and 81 posts since you registered on August 4th.  You know I recall someone else who used to frequent here a few years back who also made too many topics, many of which were unnecessary.  He was named after a movie.  You wouldn't happen to be related would you?

I hate it when people slap the "conspiracy theory" pejorative on these things. There are countless pictures of chem trails, and even admissions by authorities that they plan to control the weather. I just want people to know because I care!

No, there are countless pictures of contrails - vapour trails from aircraft.  Show me some evidence that these contain 'chemicals' (other than water) and I might believe you.

My 18 year old daughter carries on about chem trails too. My reaction is ....who cares?  Prove it ...or shut up!

Thanks.  I love a good conspiracy theory.  My beef with the chemtrails people isn't that they're wrong (they are wrong), it's that it isn't even a good conspiracy theory.

There's actually a slight connection between aircraft contrails and local weather conditions, and the relationship was discovered during the accidental experiment conducted by grounding flights over North America during the weeks after 9/11.  But it's a minor effect that is explained entirely by the fact that jet engines, particulate matter, and moisture at high altitude lead to... well, exactly the sort of contrails we see.  Jets, in sufficient number, can act as (inefficient) cloud-seeders, and thereby have a small (but measurable) effect on cloud cover and rainfall patterns.

Problem for the chemtrails loons is that they didn't actually hypothesize it, but instead assumed the presence of undefined chemicals that simply haven't been observed, or which - if they existed - could be more efficiently distributed by any number of methods.  Which is why it isn't even a good conspiracy theory.  

(I'm a sucker for a quick debunking of just about anything, so the OP can count these responses as nibbles, but he's gonna have to troy harder if he wants to actually hook something :)

No offense, but methinks you're barking up the wrong tree.  :-\\

I actually see planes make these trails over my house daily.  And they're not commercial airliners making these, they're small, crop duster like planes flying in odd directions.  They don't dissipate like normal contrails, they stay the entire day and they tend to be vertical and they often crisscross (how would a commercial plane do that?)

So, even if you don't believe it, you should keep an open mind.  You never really know what the Govt. is doing to us. 

If you don't stop dropping that acid, you'll start seeing 'em all the time!
