X-box 360 was released in 2005, and Playstation 3 and Wii were released in 2006. Normally, the next generation of systems is released about 5 years since the last one. But this time its going to be different, and here is the article that explains why:

The article states that it won't be until 2013 or 14 when the next generations of systems are released. Personally, I'm ok with keeping my PS3 and Wii.

They need to stop.  I finally caved and got a PS3 last year, first system i've owned since Sega Game Gear.  Now i've a 360 and a Wii and I ain't gonna be shelling out no more big bucks on new systems.  I ate Chef Boyardee for months so I could afford these lol

What games do you have Starde? ???

I had been hearing for the last few years that they might not release any next generation consoles for awhile, and I for one am glad. It makes sense to me that, with the ability to download system updates onto your system through online services, and the fact that the current-gen consoles have yet to tap all their potential graphically, Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony would want to hold off on expensive new consoles for a little while.

I have always hated the five year gap thing anyway. I remember when I was a kid, being excited after I finally got a Genesis in 1994 after a few years of wanting one, only to almost immediately start seeing those awesome early 3D screen shots in video game magazines for the Saturn and PS1. It was kind of demoralizing.

I'm not as much as a gaming chick as I used to be a couple of years ago, but I still enjoy playing video games from time to time. ;) I enjoyed playing Final Fantasy, the Kingdom Hearts series, X-Men Legends series, Marvel Ultimate Alliance series, to name a few. But, honestly, I'm still a Nintendo girl at heart. 8)

Actually, the first new console for the 10's, will be the Nintendo 3DS.

Once in a while I'll play my Smackdown vs.Raw 2009 game,create characters,make matches and watch them.

I actually feel we may be heading toward a post-console era of gaming, where all gaming is regulated by an online service or app where you download the game. The age of a console without an Internet influence is pretty much a thing of the past; even stuff like smartphones/tablets will eliminate even hand-held consoles, and I feel that the 3Ds may be the last handheld console Nintendo ever releases. 

Now these days you can play video games online,just download Java or Adobe Flash Player 10 and there you go.

Microsoft has said that they don't plan on dong anything next Gen until 2015...and same with Song more than likely....
