We went to see Tull at Mohegan Sun and it was really bad. The acrostics was just awful. The people next to us walked out. Needless to say, I was very disappointed because I heard they put on a GREAT show.

Being 19-22/23ish was the best. Oh yeah, 26/27 is even worse, and I don't even want to think about what people must ask in your early 30s. My cousin is 27, and whenever she reveals that she's not married yet, she gets "1000 reasons you're not married yet" listed for her by our older relatives. She only got her first real job last year! I'm not looking forward to that. :(

Yeah, I don't get it either. 24 is still a kid to most people, but at the same time older people ask why you're not an executive banker yet. Most men I know get/got married in their early 30s. My dad got married at 34... But I got asked the question literally yesterday by people I just met.  :-[ And my mom keeps bugging me about it too (I'm not out to her yet, so that just makes me feel depressed...). About moving out though, Toronto has been in a housing bubble since 2015, so I have a convenient excuse. ;D

It's good to be young. You guys should make the most out of being young. I'm young still but I'm not that young anymore. :) It's a good time to relax and also start planning your futures. You can go out, and learn your mistakes and know not to feel insanely dumb because you're only a teenager. :D
Looking back, I wish instead of taking AP classes, I held a job in high school where I could save money and get some job experience. It'll make a lot of difference when you're my age.

You have no clue what the late 2010's/early 2020's era might bring. My cousin was born in 2014, and it blows my mind that he will have a late 2020's/early 2030's adolescence. It seems so futuristic.

You didn't miss out on anything at all, if you wanted to be a teenager between 2010-2014. Trust me on that. It's easy to think older people have had it all, but it's really the total opposite.

I worked in high school and also did well at school, so it's possible to do both.  8)

Being a teen in 2017 isn't that different from being a teen in 2010, other than social media. I got my first smartphone in 2010 when I was 17. We had "fast access to information" then too.

Edit: although, now that you mention it, there are a lot of apps in 2017 that I wish existed back in 2010.  :-\\

I'm en route to becoming a full-time medical coder, and maybe a biller. I just need to pass a one year's training course, and take an exam so I have my credentials to begin work. I'm getting my position via job agency because my school where I'm taking my classes is connected to it. Simply when we're talking about stuff we remmeber from our childhoods, she will bring up stuff that I can't remember or didn't take part in, which obviously isn't surprising given that her core childhood started in the 90s. But then my other sister and her friends born in 1996/7 who are only born a couple of years later I feel I can relate to much better and our childhoods weren't all that different, just my thoughts anyway.
As for people born after me, well I'm not sure becasue I have only had one good friend that I talked to often that was born after 2000 (he was born in 2001). However I know for a fact that people born not that many years later than me did have quite a different childhood. I've got a friend born in 2008 and we can relate just fine. Our childhoods are obviously different, but we've got lots in common. We have the same music taste and we chat with each other about games and things like that. We talk to each other on FaceTime and we used to chat on SnapChat although she deleted it for some reason. She's my youngest friend.
Honestly, I'd say for me as long as we share lots of interests and you're friendly than your birth year doesn't matter :P

I've got a friend born in 2008 and we can relate just fine. Our childhoods are obviously different, but we've got lots in common. We have the same music taste and we chat with each other about games and things like that. We talk to each other on FaceTime and we used to chat on SnapChat although she deleted it for some reason. She's my youngest friend.
Honestly, I'd say for me as long as we share lots of interests and you're friendly than your birth year doesn't matter :P

The 'Pokemania' fad was pretty much the Late 90's/early 00's equivalent to the 'TMNT Mania' Fad of the Late 80's/early 90's. It would be extremely surprising if someone born in 1995 didn't remember Pokemon being relevant in some shape or from (be it the video games, card game, anime, various promotional content, etc.) as it was going on.

Most 1995/1996 people I know started playing Pokemon either in Gen 2 or Gen 3, but they remember when Gen 1 was relevant via the first season of the anime and the original 150 Pokemon card game for much of 1999-2000.

That's strange to think about... In only a couple more years we will no longer be young adults. I mean we'll still be young, but not "young adults". I can still get a youth/student price ticket on a couple of things until I turn 25. A few more years and that will go away too. We will truly become "adults" with fully developed brains lol.
