Subject: Hot Dog Redesign? One magazine decided to take a stab at it

You may or may not have heard about the American Academy of Pediatrics calling for the redesign of hot dogs last week.
So far one magazine has risen to the occasion, Extreme Makeover, Weiner Edition. I have to say I like the idea... not sure they are practical, but it might be fun to try.

That's pretty much how they prevented the choking hazards in my day.
The big worry back then was the pig peckers and puppy dog tails and funky red dyes they were dumping into the world's wieners!

That's pretty much how they prevented the choking hazards in my day.

Hey in some countries, pig peckers are considered quite the delicacy. ;)

The grilled thick slab of bologna (which isn't fundamentally different from a hotdog in terms of ingredients and processing) is actually pretty tasty, but if you want to combine a hamburger and a hotdog, there's a better way to go about it.
BEHOLD! The Hamdog! (That's actually a Hamdog lite. But it's got bacon, so it still counts as food.)
The original may not have had bacon, but it has toppings, and I mean lots of toppings.
