Basically, the guy is ex-Navy, was in a Convenience store acting weird. The clerk called the police. Police showed up, questioned the guy and then he fled. The caught up with him and found he was wearing a bullet proof vest and had a bunch of weapons in his hotel room. The eerie part is, there was also a well defined map of NY Army Base Fort Drum!
Obviously the guy is in custody, so there is no threat of danger - but I can only imagine what his plans might have been. They claim he has no connections to terrorist groups and his ex or soon to be ex wife says he wouldn't hurt a fly, but that he may have mental issues!
Thank goodness for the store clerk who thought to call the police!

Wow, that's scary. Thank goodness for the clerk. It seems like it is always the "guy who wouldn't hurt a fly" who snaps and goes on a shooting spree.

Yeah, that's how it always is right?
I doubt the guy would have made it on post here, but just the idea is shocking enough!
