I have been on the observation deck of the tall building on the right hand side. The view is marvelous. I think it's 88 stories high.

The Tournament of Roses Parade is broadcast on most stations in Los Angeles, but KTLA-5 has the best coverage, and it's always commercial-free when the parade is live. :) I think my family took me to see the floats on the afternoon of New Year's Day 1987, which I have some remembrance of.

If I ever someday visit London, I will probably find it. I do happen to know that the Big Ben is somewhere near the Thames River.

Somewhere to the north of that, is the London Eye...which has a large shadow next to it (on the satellite image shown). As I recall, that structure was built in the late 1990s to help celebrate the arrival of 2000!
