Subject: Hard-up US couple sells letter from Obama for $7,000

A US couple whose resilient attitude to their misfortunes inspired a letter from President Barack Obama has sold the note for $7,000 (£4,380).
The president wrote to Jennifer Cline that "things will keep getting better" after she wrote about losing her job and becoming ill with skin cancer.
Mrs Cline said an autograph dealer purchased the hand-written note.
"This will get us through the winter," Jennifer Cline's husband Jason told local media.
New York autograph dealer Gary Zimet told the Detroit News he plans to sell the letter for $18,000.
In her three-page letter penned in December 2009, Mrs Cline of Monroe in the state of Michigan told the president that he and his family inspired her and described how she had lost her job as a pharmacy technician, then started cancer treatment without health insurance.
White House staff flagged her note for a reply, and Mr Obama responded in longhand on White House stationery.
"I know times are tough, but knowing there are folks out there like you and your husband me confidence that things will keep getting better!" he wrote.
