I thought they were trying to change the name of that Penn State Campus as jokes turned to stigma!

While Canada certainly deserves to take pride in launching a beaver into space, it should also be known that they're not the first nation to do so.

That honor would have to go to the Soviet Union, who first accomplished that feat way back in 1963 when they launched Valentina Tereshkova into orbit aboard a Vostok spacecraft.

When I was attending PSU Beaver, I had an older buddy who had a pilot's license and on occasion he would fly people places on short notice.

One weekend he had to shuttle three rather nice looking gals from our campus somewhere, so that they could participate in a beauty contest.  He said that when he landed at the destination, jaws were dropping everywhere as these beautiful gals exited the airplane.  My buddy, seeing an opportunity, told the guys at the airport "I know you are not gonna believe me, but I just flew these gals in from Beaver County".  ;D ;D
