I honestly think that Obama and Co. are trying to destroy the Democratic party.
From his support of the rape of Medicare (in the Health care plan), to Reid trying to get Social Security made voluntary, along with their other schemes,
To their hiring of known Marxists or Marxist influenced staff and underlings, it really seems like Obama, Reid and Pelosi are attempting to destroy the Democratic party from within.

Uh... no.
Obama is actually pretty moderate compared to a lot of previous Democrat presidents. Today's Democrats are generally more moderate than their predecessors back in the 70s.
Overall, Democrats mostly represent the center left, while a minority of them are left wing.
By contrast, it would appear that most Republicans in power are right wing rather than center right.

Well, at least you know how it feels - most of us Reaganite Republicans (and especially those of us who would have supported Goldwater, had we been born while he was in politics) spent 8 years wondering if Bush II was a secret Democrat.
So relax, dude, there's only been one Party for as long as any of us have been alive, and you're just experiencing perfectly healthy and normal paranoia.

Despite having a substantial majority in both chambers of congress, the Dems in congress have been having all the success of a "monkey fornicating with a football" as they say in the military.

Lots of frenetic action but little results so far.
If they want to get their agenda going, they'll need to act before the next congressional election, because Dems will definitely lose seats then. "It's now or never"...

True, but as the Blue Dogs have shown, both Reid and Pelosi have less power among their party than their positions would normally suggest.
When it comes to healthcare, Max Baucus (a Blue Dog) has considerably more power than either of them.
