So many of you by now have prolly heard of George Sodini, the guy who lived in the outskirts of Picksburgh and ruthlessly shot up an LA Fitness Center in Bridgeville.  Three women were murdered, and Mr. Sodini was so gracious as to eliminate the burdensome need for a murder trial.

The basic plot is that he wasn't getting any, and he hated women, so he was gonna take out as many as he could in a blaze of glory.  Had his own website where he outlined what he was gonna do, and had a few videos out there.

Now the news outlets are scouring video of this guy anywhere they can find it.  I'm waiting for an interview where a guy stood next to him in the PNC Park men's room, fer cryin' out loud.  Today WPXI is running a few seconds of footage where he attended a "how to pick up chicks" seminar.

My opinion... all this coverage is just "sensationalism" and just feeds what this moron set out to obtain... notoriety and fame.

Come on!  This guy was probably a total dick and that's why he kept getting rejected by women for 19 years.  He probably only wanted "hotties" like the ones you see in the pornos.  

I might have more compassion for old George because I know how much it hurts to get rejected, and how rough the dating market can be if you're not Mr. Perfect-Wonderful.  Pain, heartbreak, alienation, and loneliness are all rampant in our society; I can understand how some guys have trouble coping.  BUT...the bottom line is, you can't kill people.  Period.  So, no soup for you!!!

Heheh... You have a point there.

Latest development today is that apparently on July 28th, he carried a grenade on to a Port Authority of Picksburgh bus and was playing with it.

Port Authority guys staked out his bus stop and interrogated him (because he matched the description) but came up with zilch.  They showed his drivers license picture to the guy who reported the grenade, who could not make a positive ID.

After the shhoting, apparently the Port Authority cops and the informant both said "Hold %$# that's THE GUY", and they found a note in his house that he wrote about the whole bus thing.  So far no grenade found yet.  I imagine it will pop up somewhere...  :o
