They probably let him off out of pity. Anyone who has to go for a hooker like Dupree needs pity, not jail time.

He didn't have to go to a hooker; he wanted to go to a hooker---loved it, couldn't get enough! The difference between Spitzer and thousands of other bigshots who hire sex at two grand an hour is Eliot got caught!
