I'm thinking of putting my money in a Federal Credit Union.
Is that good...or bad?

They operate under different regulations as well. During the depression credit unions remained solvent as banks failed.

Another good thing about CU's is that they are member owned. It makes for lower fees, too.

The Delaware ones have doubled, from what I heard.

According to the 2008 Red Book, it is only worth about $3 in MS65 condition (meaning uncirculated/very high grade-the only time you are going to find a quarter that high grade is get it direct from the mint-or buy it off of someone who got it direct from the mint-not in your loose change). Now if you want to collect Washington quarters-1964 or earlier. They are 90% silver and as I type this, silver is sitting at $11.94 an ounce. (That is a big drop to what it was back in March when it was over $20 an ounce.
Sorry, went off topic a bit. I'm sure everyone knows that you get me talking about coins... :D ;D ;D ;D

Those of us old enough to remember the Bicentennial Quarter know exactly what it's worth 31 years later: Twenty-five cents.
