Cleveland has been the 2nd most poorest city in the country, whilst Cincinnati is the 10th. Ohio is the worst state in the United States!
Detroit is the poorest city two years in a row.

Nope Mississippi is still the most poorest state in the Union.
While your griping about Ohio go through Meigs County Ohio, then count your blessings.

There are terrible poverty pockets all over the country. There are parts of Maine that are just as poor backasswards as poor Old Miss. However, theres lots and lots of money on costal Maine from Kittery to Eastport, which raises the average. The poverty in the Deep South is more widespread than in Maine, but Maine has all the same poverty problems.
Ohio has its impoverished rustbelt cities and along the southern tier it has the edge of Appalachia, but the still has a much bigger economy than Mississippi.

This survey might be a bit more accurate if the poverty line was adjusted for cost of living. They list it as abut 16,000 dollars for a family of 3 and 16 grand is barely enough for a household of one to possibly live debt-free around here.
