Subject: Babies' bodies in German freezer

The bodies of three babies have been found in a basement freezer in the town of Wenden, in western Germany, prosecutors say.
A woman believed to be the mother of the three has been arrested, a state prosecutor's office spokesman said.
The three were not stillborn, police said, but the cause of death and the infants' ages have not been released.

One of the bags contained a newspaper from 1988, indicating the babies may have died that year, AFP news agency quoted police investigator Herbert Fingerhut as saying.

They were in there for years. Full term, born alive. Why not just get a few abortions? If she was that set on not having them, she should not have waited. Unless she is a really morbid woman.

I prefer Latex... that way I'll never get a freezer full of dead babies.
Seriously though, how in the hell can someone do that to little babies? They aren't wedding cake tops.

Yeah, it's best to prevent a situation before you have to go to such dramatic means of avoiding it.
That's what I'm wondering. Abortion is legal in Germany. The fact that they were born alive and no one knew she was pregnant each time is bizarre. There has to be something severely wrong with her psychologically to be able to disassociate herself from those babies. Most women would feel something emotionally.

A very distant relative of mine was found in 1989 to have the bodies of his ex-girlfriend and her 3-year-old daughter in his freezer. >:(
Scum bag was convicted, and was executed by the fair people of the State of Ohio on July 15, 2004.

Why do people do stuff like that? It's almost as if they want to still have the victim with them. Really creepy.

It's funny, but when I was stationed in Germany I stopped in Wenden once for a quick bite to eat, and I did notice that the bratwursts there were rather odd-tasting. :o :o :o
