Subject: Wal-Mart Employees Take A Stand
Written By: danootaandme on 09/19/07 at 4:35 am
Well, not really. I work with a guy whose sig is a floor manager at a Wal-Mart. What is happening is that Wal Mart is having a one day regional meeting for its lower level management and they have been told that if they want to sit the must bring their own chair. I am still stunned. Will the employees actually show up with their little beach chairs in order to have a seat at the Wal-Mart table. Is this an experiment by Wal-Mart to see how much more blatant disrespect their employees will take? It is New Hampshire so their isn't any doubt in my mind that they will do whatever they are told. At this point it is up to the employees to stand up, sit down, or not show up,what ever. Bring your own chair, the very idea

So they say Wal-Mart provides jobs; well, they're sure not leaving Michael Moore much work to do.
I couldn't write this sh*t!

I hope they all go to yard sales and buy the oldest, rattiest couches they can find and haul them into the meeting room. When the meeting is over, they leave the couches behind.

Sad to say they had the meeting and the employees did bring their own chairs. Can you imagine?

Yeah, like the ones on the lawns of frat row!
Here's what I would have done--
Get the cheap chairs from Wal-Mart itself and jerry-rig them so they'd collapse when you sat on them. I'd tape the whole thing with a lipstick cam and post in on YouTube.
"Yep, if you're going to a Wal-Mart meeting you ought to have some of Wal-Mart's fine furniture...have a seat, Joe!
