i'm surprised no one started a thread about this yet: molly ivins, liberal columnist from my home state of texas, has died at the age of 62.

I can honestly say I didn't agree with most of her opinions, but she did make me laugh.

Thanks for posting this, Tia. I was about to post it myself. I was surprised and saddened by the news of her passing.
Those who fight the good fight lost a great soldier on 1/31/07.
So I intone "Taps" and salute Molly Ivins.

She played the tough Texas game with left-wing cards, and a lot of them Bush country all-hat-no-cattle oil cowboys hated her for it!

Molly Ivins was one of America's great political commentators! We progressives will miss her eloquent voice.
