I didn't even care for the man that much when he was in office. Heck, I did not even vote for him in 1996 (Nader write-in). And yet, just last night I had a genuine longing for the days of Bill Clinton. Every day the Bush Administration proves itself ever more greedy, incompetent, and psychotic. The news just gets uglier and uglier all the time.

Remember a President who was smart, good-looking, perrsonable, and articulate? Remember a President who was popular with the folks no matter what the rightwing noise machine tried to do to him? Remember a President who was welcomed and respected by nations and their leaders worldwide? Remember a President whose economic stimulus plan was so effective the Republicans still try to take credit for it to this day? Remember a President who at least wanted decent healthcare for all Americans?  Remember a President whose worst crime was extra-marital hanky-panky? Remember a President who could play the saxophone? Remember a President who didn't get us into unwinnable wars for the benefit of his big business pals? If you remember that President, you are remembering Bill Clinton.

I speak with a bit of hyperbole here. I had gripes with Clinton bad enough to make me vote for another guy in '96. If only we could have Bill Clinton back in office, I would forgive him everything!

Bush's aggression has also cost us at the pump, plus him and cheney are connected to the oil industry so who do you think they care about more. I think Bush's actions have cost gas to go up.

Unfortunately, Clinton supported NAFTA and so-called "welfare reform," or "the end of welfare as we know it."

Clinton also supported the death penalty... He wasn't perfect, but he was a lot better than Bush.  I mean my god, the man has a 163 IQ!
