Rock, Metal, Alternative, etc.
Here is a song from 2002 called Nothing by a Northern Irish band called A. This peaked at #9 in the UK, and when it was released, the challenge of finding this song on Napster and Limewire was grand unless you knew the name of the album it was released on, which I did, and I've been a fan of this one ever since!

Here is a Scottish band called Glasvegas. Their 2008 self-titled debut album is the best (non-80s) album that I have ever purchased. Every song is a standout from start to finish, but if I had to pick one, it would 100% be Daddy's Gone. It peaked at #12 in the UK and even appeared in an episode of the NBC TV series Chuck. This song is so much fun to sing along with and must be listened to loud! I will love this song forever!

Here is the fantastic single I Predict a Riot by the British band Kaiser Chiefs. In 2005, this peaked at #9 in the UK and #34 on the US Alternative Airplay Chart.
