Subject: The 2004-2005 school year
Written By: batfan2005 on 03/26/22 at 10:40 am
Not sure if there's been a thread on this. I know for sure there are ones for the calendar years of 2004 and 2005, but this one is for the late 2004 and early 2005 (or the 2004-2005 school year as many on here were in school at the time). This is one of my favorite time periods of the 2000's, if not my single most favorite. Here's a list of the things I remember liking from that time:
- Lost
- Ciara's "1, 2 Step"
- Chingy's "Balla Baby"
- Daddy Yankee's "Gasolina" and the popularity of Reggaetons
- "Lovers and Friends" by Lil Jon feat. Usher and Ludacris
- Snoop Dogg's R&G album
- Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B. album
- The Polar Express
- MySpace (when I signed up for it)
- Starfox Assault (Nintendo Gamecube)
- Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
- Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith
- Batman Begins (late June but still within the first half of the year)
That's all I can think of but I'm sure there's a lot more

Academically for me, that was a transitional year as I “took it easy” and sought a new major. I was toying with the idea of changing it to math, but found some challenges with that. (I had started with computer science, but it was then, in 2004, when I realised what a challenge it was.)

Yeah! One of the most epic comebacks ever. Down 3 games to none, they had no room for error...

Watching these videos (audio only but it's the music that takes me back) really makes me miss the time playing one of my favorite games from early 2005 that I listed in my first post.
