2000 isn't 20 years ago, 2000 is 21 years ago. And even more, that movie was probably filmed in 1999 at the latest since movies take 1 - 2 years to film and produce, so it would actually be 22 years ago. Nice try though..

And how about you bring up a movie from 1980 and see how massively different it is from 2000. Then you will see there were way more differences before in the 20th century than there are now.

That is just the way it is and the videos you posted only further my point but you can literally choose any professional (not homemade) video from 2001, and it will prove my very point. It's ok if you disagree though. I think objectively there are much less changes.

People should also remember a homemade video taken in the early 2000s will obviously look somewhat similar to a professionally-taken 1980s video since most people didn't have the same recording capabilities we have today. So it will probably come off as pixelated and almost
1980s-like. But a professionally taken video (music videos, news, sports, etc.) from the early 2000s will look much more modern and up-to-date than an '80s professional video and much more closer to today than to the '80s. And you couldn't even make home movies in the '80s unless you were rich.

You guys also need to realize something. In 2005, the year 2000 felt like a completely different world. And that was a difference of only FIVE YEARS. Can you say the same for 2016 vs now? Of course not (besides the pandemic). As a matter of fact, even 2011 which is 10 years ago just barely feels like the same amount of changes that occured in the 5 year span of 2000 - 2005... So I really don't get why some people don't get what I am saying. Unless like I said before, they are very young and don't have memories of the massive changes that happened in the early 2000s.

Speaking of 2005, that year feels a lot more recent now than 1989 did in 2005 even though they were the same time spans of 16 years. I could watch Batman Begins and it would look much less dated than the original Tim Burton's did in 2005 (I remember buying it on DVD then. Still is and always be a classic).

I agree. Even 1989 looked ancient in 2005. But 2005 today just looks very, very dated but not to the extent of how the 1980s looked in '05. The 1990s and 2000s were just so changeful.
