Subject: Was Six Flags in its peak in the 2000s?
Written By: GeekyAlgorithm on 07/03/20 at 2:06 pm
I loved going to Six Flags as a child (I lived near Great Adventure, so that was my home park) and I want to see if anyone else agrees with me that it was at its peak in the 2000s.
Great Adventure, for example, had amazing roller coasters like Batman: The Ride, Medusa, El Toro, Batman & Robin: The Chiller, and Kingda Ka, while Magic Mountain had Goliath, Superman: The Escape, X2, and Tatsu. Nowadays it's just one flat ride per park, maybe a coaster if you're lucky. I mean, I don't mind as long as it's good. Cyborg Hyper Drive at Six Flags New England is an example of a GOOD flat ride.
I think the worst moment in Six Flags history was when they tore down Rolling Thunder to make a queue line for a one-trick pony flat ride. That was like the end of Six Flags' peak.
