Subject: Which Rock Band Was Bigger In The Fall Of 2001: Linkin Park OR Staind?

I'd say Linkin Park, just because 2001 was their breakout year and all their singles off of Hybrid Theory were already in massive rotation on the radio and MTV by Mid-To-Late 2001 and Hybrid Theory was selling like hot cakes.

It's been awhile since I listened to Staind. In the end, I think Linkin Park are the winners
:D

Definitely Linkin Park. I don’t remember people claiming they were Staind fans. They were usually grouped in with Creed and Nickelback.

In 2001, Linkin Park had 6 members to the band while Staind had 4, thus Linkin Park were bigger.

Linkin Park for sure. They had many songs I remember. I never even heard of staind for a long time, but they did have 1 or 2 songs I knew.

Staind "It's been a while" I think was there most notable song outside of their heavier and less recognized nu metal singles from 1999.
I remember that song was very overplayed by summer 2001 to the point of being a bit cringe. It's hard to tell but I think Linkin Park seemed to have a more variety of singles at the time and were a bit bigger as a band, and I think they had a remix album out back then.
