Which one is had better shows and why? Streaming services included

I think they both equally had good shows. The 10th Kingdom (2000) was an excellent TV series that came out in 2000. There were A LOT of hallmark tv shows that were prominent in the early 2000’s that were pretty good like The Snow Queen. Some shows from the 90’s proceeded into the 2000’s like Charmed, Sex and the City, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, etc. The 2000’s were more so known for reality tv imo. It’s a hard choice but I’m gonna go with the 2010’s. 2010’s were a really good decade for shows.

2010s, thanks to the streaming wars. There's so many good TV shows out there right now than I could ever think to watch in a lifetime. :o
2000s was the best decade for TV up to that point, though. The second half of the 2000s was a lot better than the first and kicked off our modern era.

That's a hard question to answer, imo. The 2000s started off the Second Golden Age of Television with widely praised shows like Breaking Bad, The Sopranos (came out in 1999, but lasted throughout the 2000s), Dexter, The Wire, The Office, Mad Men, It's Always Sunny, 24, Arrested Development, and Lost.
But the 2010s continued having quality TV shows like Stranger Things, Orange Is The New Black, House of Cards, and tons more thanks to the streaming revolution.
I would have to go to the 2010s though because there are now more options than ever before to watch TV shows.

First thing to take into account is that there is the chance of television of the 2010s showing repeats of television shows of the 2000s.

Didn't the 2000s also have reruns of 90s shows? It's a pattern that's been happening for syndicated programs since ever.

I'd say the 2000s, Shows like Malcolm in the Middle and Grounded for Life and My Name is Earl being totally hilarious. And serious shows like The Sopranos, The Wire, House and Lost being phenomenal too. The 2010s had good shows also, but when it comes down to the nitty gritty, the 2000s had the best shows in my honest opinon.

There are less repeats for 2010s television shows for the shows can now be watch on forms of catch-up television and Netflix, etc.

I'm not sure since I haven't watched much TV in the 2010s, but based on Doctor Who alone, the 2000s is better in my eyes. I think it's because Matt Smith ruined Doctor Who for me (since it gave a whole hipster-ish vibe and aesthetic) and 2010s Doctor Who feels emptier in my eyes (maybe because there aren't a lot of recurring side characters and Torchwood doesn't really seem to be a thing too). The whole 2010s shebang I think just feels like it's all slapped on with pastel even if it tries to be gritty.

Best shows were early 2000s/Y2K era and the 2010s ( including 08/09 to now) seems better with more choice and massive improvements over core 2000s tv show quality.
But the golden age of tv is the same with music and movies ( 60s to the mid 90s)

It was during the 2000s that saw the end of "Friends" :\'(

Oh god no, admittedly besides the 60s, the 70s to the mid 90s were terrible, terrible times for tv 8-P
Anyway, to answer this thread, the 2010s would be the easy answer due to how rich, diverse and consistent the decade was for series and how much hype they gathered around them. Truly an exciting and revolutionary time for series watching.
The 2000s also have a pretty stacked catalog that's nothing to sneeze at. They were just not very consistent.

The 70s were a terrible time for TV??? Or "terrible, terrible" even? What about he groundbreaking "All In The Family"? How about M*A*S*H"? "The Mary Tyler Moore Show"? "Saturday Night Live" made it's debut in 1975. And, my God, what about "Roots"? "Mork and Mindy" starring Robin Williams? Let's even throw in "Dallas" and "Charlie's Angels" if you like that kind of thing. There was "Sanford and Son", "Chico and the Man" with the late, great Freddy Prinz, "Columbo" and "Taxi". "The Bob Newhart Show", "Rockford Files" and "The Odd Couple". Really, I could go on, but I'll rest my case, I think I've won. ;)
PS-And don't forget the great live music shows "ABC's In Concert", "Midnight Special" and "Don Kirshner's Rock Concert". AND "Soul Train".

"Golden age of TV" was coined to refer to 1947-1957 originally. Granted, some people wouldn't agree with that nowadays.

Dude all the best classic series, cartoons and music videos aired.
Don’t even need to explain why.
All the cringe, boring or dated stuff in between can be ignored.
But yeah I don’t know why so a lot of people are in denial that the 2010s was mostly an upgrade in TV and other things compared to the 2000s.
Early 2000s TV still had that classic 90s feel inbetween a lot of bland shows.
2005-6 to early 2008 TV was mostly unwatchable for me.

Better budgets and more "epic" feel to it really helps, and that's something that makes 2010s TV better than 2000s TV too. I also hate laugh tracks so the 2000s comedies win by default there.

Because it it wasn't. There were loads more successful, quality tv shows in the 2000s compared to the 2010s.

2000s wins over 2010s in almost every category including TV. That's not to say the 2000s were free from its fair share of bad TV too such as Laguna Beach and other reality shows.

2005+ TV smokes the early 2000s to bits imo. Not just The Office, you had How I Met Your Mother, Arrest Development, 30 Rock, etc. Those comedies felt so much more relatable because they didn't abuse the laugh track. Anything from before 2004 is unwatchable these days. It's 70% laugh track at unfunny jokes, 20% dialogue and 10% awkward camera angles.

The original "The Office" from the UK did not make me laugh.
