Subject: Is Fred Fredburger Millennial or Zoomer? (parody)
Written By: Zelek3 on 02/06/20 at 10:14 pm
So as we know, our generation threads here go around in circles with people repeating the same arguments/sources/birth years.
It's time to stretch it to the absolute limit and ask the big, important, ultimate question in life here: is Fred Fredburger a Millennial- or Zoomer-oriented character?

Well, let's take a look at the facts here:
–Billy and Mandy is a Cartoon Cartoon (Millennial)

–”Keeper of the Reaper” premiered during the CN City era (Millennial/Zoomer cusp)

–He was CN's mascot during the YES! era (Zoomer)

So is he Millennial or Zoomer? Vote wisely.

Even though I watched Billy and Mandy I don't remember him. Was he in the later episodes? If so he definitely a "Zoomer". :P

I don't know if you're talking about the character himself or what target audience he appealed to, but 2006 in general was completely Gen Z for kids culture (it was already that way by 2005).

Early Zoomers, at least. Because I can remember him being in a lot of commercials around 2006-2007.

I don’t remember him either and watched Billy and Mandy too. I’d say Gen Z for that reason alone. I probably lost interest in CN around 2006 so it makes sense I guess.

Fred Fredburger's debut episode was in January 2006.
Fred along with Cheese from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends essentially became the face of Cartoon Network for a year during the very short-lived "YES! Era" (2006-2007) until the Fall of 2007.

Y/Z. 2005-2006 was the episodes of the Y/Z cusp in kid centric culture. I guess if his episode appearances were spent mostly post 2006, he’d lean slightly towards Z.
