Same ! Some of the best times of my life happened between 2000-2005. Kid trends were so manufactured and in your face back then, that was like the last time I really noticed kid trends being really something to look forward to.

So I was a kid in 2001-2003 but I remember I used to go to this after school program (Boys and girls club) and they had a computer lab. This was in 2003 (I was in first grade at the time) and I remember we asked our supervisor if he could pull up a music video (Crazy in love)...Long story short he had to buy it for 99 cents on yahoo music I believe ?? and it was the most blurriest chopped up mess and you couldn’t see jack daniels. He downloaded it on Napster and we had to wait until the next day to watch the video on quick time player which still sucked ass. I was in first grade and vividly remember that lol.

Overall, the middle part, particularly 2004 and 2005. 2000 and 2008 were great as well.

The late 2000s were bangin' for my personal life. Best era of the '00s personal life wise. Horrible pop culture-wise though. Best era for pop culture was by far the early 2000s no doubt about it.

2004 and 2005 was great. 2008 was ok for me, parents got divorced and I was a middle schooler during the time of the recession. 2000 was good except I was a little kid in pre k in 2000 haha.

I'd say 2003-2007. I consider that to be my main childhood and probably the most memorable years of my childhood.

2006-2009. Part of my childhood :)

2004-2008 were the best of my childhood years.

2000-mid 2001, Mid 2003-early 2004, and late 2007 & 2008.  I get really nostalgic for those parts. Fun times.

I like the entire '00s. It my main youth decade, and the years where I went from being a kid to an adult, so I have a lot of nostalgia.

The early '00s still have kind of a carefree childish vibe to me because I was only around 13 or 14 for most of those years. I was a teen, but still doing kid stuff like hanging out playing video games and watching Cartoon Network. I have the most nostalgia for this era, especially around 2000, with Pokemon, Kids WB, WWF and 5th Gen consoles still being dominant.

The mid '00s are my peak teen years, and I've gotten way more nostalgia for them lately. Moving over to broadband, discovering early social media, listening to cheesy Emo and Pop-Punk, and the whole thing. I have slightly less nostalgia for this era than the early '00s, but still a good bit.

The late '00s are mostly my college years. I don't have as much nostalgia for this era because it's more recent, and featured more modern stuff like HDTV taking off, early smartphones, and social media becoming a dominant thing. I have been getting more nostalgia for this era lately, though. The changes of these last few years have made that era seem more and more dated.

2000 & 2002 - 2005 was my favorite. I liked parts of the late 2000s, but there were too many things that I didn't like, so I can't say it's my favorite.

I can never really chose between the early 2000s & the mid 2000s. They both have their own vibes although they are similar in that both felt laid back pop culturally.

In the early 2000s, Toonami was still at its peak and Sailor Moon was still on the air. Music groups were still popular, pop rock girls were ruling the airwaves, non-emo influenced, pop punk was thriving, hip-hop had a good mix of east/west coast & southern artists, and rnb had a very summery chill vibe. The fashion was pretty bad though. Award & music shows were still great. I'd rather be using broadband & DVD players though, which weren't that common place yet.

The mid 2000s, I liked that thing became more urban & grimy with the rise of crunk music. Even Gwen Stefani added an urban twist to her music (the early 2000s had great urban vibes too though). I liked that broadband, dvds, mp3s, etc was more common and I discovered streaming during this time too which made it a little easier to listen to music without having to download. I'm not a fan of all the emo influence during this era ( I was cool with it at the time) in fashion & music. Pop punk was becoming more emo influenced. The mid 2000s probably saw the last really visible remains of the early 2000s although I wouldn't say they were strong enough to really make that much of a difference. I liked that all the perks of digital cable and on demand television. Basically the advancent of technology made it a little easier to enjoy entertainment and get stuff done, something I prefer to the small inconveniences of the early 2000s.

I think it I had to chose one, I would probably still chose the early 2000s. Either way I can't resist cornrows and a Burberry bandana  :P

For me the early 2000s (2000-2003) only. The mid-late 2000s not so much.

While I do like the early and mid 2000s, my favourite era is the early 2000s by far. Especially Y2K. Personal-life wise, the late 2000s were really good especially 2007 even though pop culture sucked in the late '00s.

- The pop punk music.

- The hair that guys wore, which got quite long well into the early 2010s.

- The rather dark and deep aesthetic and vibe of the decade (the late 2010s does this but I feel like it's almost in a shallow and forced way; I guess it's because partly the 2010s from around 2013 or earlier went the other way round and it seems out of character for the 2010s to try and pull something off like this years later).

In terms of years - 2004-2009 or somewhat later regarding pop culture but not regarding personal events.

2004 - 2008

My opinion changes a lot, but thinking back now, I would have to say pop culturally/personal life 2002, 2004, and 2006. Anyone who knows me on this forum by now understand why I loved 2002, 2004, & 2006.

2001, 2003, 2005, & 2007 were okay. All of these years had its ups & downs, but there were more positive highlights IMO.

I don't care for 2000, 2008, or 2009. I was too young to enjoy the first year, and 2008 & 2009 were just preparation for the 2010's and boring for me in middle school. Obama and the Wii were the only highlights of 2008 & 2009 for me.

For me the early 2000s (2000-2003) only. The mid-late 2000s not so much.

Early 2000s. Toonami was still weekdays, awesome music, and awesome games.

2003-2009 but I think 2005-2007 were less nice in pop culture and music than either 2003/2004 or 2008/2009. They felt kinda like a darker version of 2003/2004 with newer tech.
