junior year for me, this era was SOOOOOOOOOO much fun, I remember Emo exploded that month,
like every other day there was a new emo kid lol
Myspace also was a buzzword, it would not explode until late October, so we were still pretty much in a pre
social media world for that month.

I remember that particular month all too well. I started at a new school and it sucked! Green Day's album was the tits though. 2004 is the most nostalgic year for me musically.

I would say late 2004 is more pop culture or in your face than than the earlier part, most of it is due to Myspace & Emo

Whats strange is that the picture below the Jojo and Green Day cover could definitely NOT have been taken even just 12 months earlier, its so different from the early 2000s!

it really was, EMO and pop punk was infiltrating the pop arena, the vibe was so different

I admit that Green Day's music is too political for me to enjoy casually even though I like how their music sounds. I feel like I missed out on this whole emo and MySpace thing though sadly since I would have been only like 6 years old at that time.
