Subject: Spelling in Popular Songs Trend
Written By: Slim95 on 12/09/18 at 11:41 pm
Remember when every song had spelling in it? It was a 2000s trend, mainly in the mid 2000s. Many popular songs always had a part of the song that had spelling in it. It would repeat the spelling. Feels like the song Friends from this year tried to bring back that trend. Here are all the examples:
Fergie - Fergalicious
Fergie - Glamerous
Weebie Ft. Lil Bossie and Lil Phat - Independent
Gwen Stefanie - Hollaback Girl
Natasha Beddingfield - Angel
I'm sure there were more. I know that this didn't only happen in the 2000s (Aretha Franklin in 1967) but it still was a popular trend I noticed in the decade.
