Subject: What was the best year of the 00s for you?

I have to say 2006.
I was a sophomore in HS and had met a great friend.
I had two big crews of friends, one in Brooklyn, the other set on Staten Island.
We went on mall adventures both groups. Played DDR.
I lost my virginity in Feb 06. Meanwhile I was taking another girl to a concert.
It was a great year.

2000 but was still a preteen. Mostly had fun in the neighborhood with friends.
2003 is my favorite as a teen. I had so much fun and met wonderful people. The summer was so fun. I actually first went on the Internet in September '03. Still no web at home so instead of wasting time on social media and news I was doing creative things like drawing, writing a newspaper, etc. I was heavily into VH1's So 80s show but also discovered some then new music.
The best year for me as a teen.

2003 and 2007 for me.
2003 mostly because I was 5 (6 in December) that year, and had a lot of fun in pre-k and kindergarten, but I also do like a lot of music and video games from that year as well.
2007 was a great year for my personal life, 3rd and first semester of 4th grade were really fun, there were great rock songs such as "Paralyzer" and "The Pretender" that year, TeenNick was good at this time, and this was hands down the greatest year for gaming. Plus I discovered YouTube this year, via looking up Animal Crossing videos.

I can't decide or tell the difference between personal favorites or generally enjoying the year. Haha 02, 03, 04, 05 and 07.

Personally & Culturally, 2007 all the way. ;D I remember hearing Umbrella by Rihanna A LOT, especially with T-Pain and Black eyed peas. I know that I was just 3 years old then, but as a toddler, I remember going shopping with my family when I was in Sharjah, and going on fun theme-parks in Dubai.

2007. Went and saw Linkin Park at the Sydney Entertainment Centre, fell in love for the first time, became friends with someone who I am still friends with today and enjoyed the overall pop culture/vibe of the time. It was a great year to be 8 years old!

Personally.. probably 2005.
Pop culturally.. 2001, I guess. Obviously I wasn’t paying much attention to pop culture at 6 years old but that year has most of my favourite songs. Songs from that year give me really intense nostalgia too.

I don't remember him bashing the 2000s much. While I do remember him expressing strong love for the Obama/Lady Gaga era, so his post still makes sense.
