Subject: Best summer of the mid-2000s?

Which was your favorite summer of the mid-2000s and why? Feel free to include personal reasons.
My pick is the summer of 2005.
- Mariah Carey, Green Day, Kanye West, Gwen Stefani, and 50 Cent dominated the music sphere
- Great movies all year long, like Wedding Crashers, Batman Begins, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
- Hooked up with my now-wife via Myspace
- Earned my associate's degree and received an Honors award -- then went on to enroll at a local university for my upper level courses after passing an entrance exam
- YouTube and myspace
- iPods and cell phones

2004 as a whole year was the best mid 2000's year. 2006 was my favorite summer for my personal life. 2005 was just great for television and decent for movies.

I was only 10 but I had a lot of fun. I went to swimming and ice skating summer school. It was a lot of fun! And I went on vacation to Manchester, England :D

This. I liked the pop culture then. Plus I got see Omarion, Bow Wow, Pretty Ricky, B5 and Bobby Valentino all in one night. My little heart was full of joy :D

All I got to say is, I really miss that palm tree desert and dreamy vibe of summer 04 and 05. Those are the only summers of the 2000s I actually remember.

I'm not sure, but definitely not Summer 2004-05. I remember there was a day where it got to about 42C (107 Fahrenheit) and it was so hot that I just laid against the wall in the hallway, because the fans were only blowing warm air and we didn't have an air conditioner at the time.

Summer 2004 was fun because I turned 13 and got to go on a trip to Atlanta.
I also enjoyed summer 2006 because I had a season pass to Six Flags and got to go all the time.
Nothing interesting happened to me in summer 2005. :P

Wow, that sounds amazing! Omarion, Bow Wow, Pretty Ricky and Bobby Valentino were all huge that year. Who could forget songs like Pimpin All Over The World, Slow Down, Tell Me, Your Body, Grind with Me, and Let Me Hold You.
Music was amazingly diverse that year. You had everything From Mariah to Green Day to T-Pain. I really miss those days.
