Shorts and t-shirts in November? Where was this? November was actually my favorite month of 2005 since that was when I went to Europe for the first time. I was living in San Diego at the time and almost forgot my jacket. I would have been freezing in Europe, lol. One thing I noticed was the fashion was different in Europe (in a good way). One song I remember that was popular around that time was by Madonna, as dance pop has become more popular than hip-hop.

Europe was awesome during that time. One thing that caught my eye was the girls fashion. They had more of the dressed up look (especially in Paris and Italy) compared to the frumpy boho look that was in style in the States around that time (especially in SoCal). I really enjoyed the culture, and it's when I got into soccer.

2005 was awesome! I remember GameBoys still being extremely popular back then, along with the peak of SpongeBob’s popularity. So many new video games were released that year and it’s my all time favorite year for new video game releases. 2005 overall was the quintessential 2000’s year. It had all the trends of the 2000’s like rock music, old style cartoons on Cartoon Network, skateboarding, malls, etc. It was basically the 2000’s in a nutshell. It had a very “progressive” and “sunrise” feel.

I'm feeling nostalgic about 2005 today. This morning I remembered the home videos that I made that year, one is from May 5, 2005. They were recorded with a camcorder from 2001. So I went through some of my things and I found the videos! I just need the camcorder to watch them. Hopefully I'll find it. I can't wait to see myself 13 years younger lol.
