Another edition of my minor observations thread


- Last week of August Facebook opens up, got an invite from someone, The logo was a 6 year old kid, I thought it was stupid & would not catch on.
- PS3 hype was real AF, those floating baby head commercials were weird tho, all everyone in school was talking about was when you getting ps3?
- HD VS BLU RAY  Blu ray was coming out the winner in this, but I remember all the stupid HD DVD player ad on for xbox 360 lol
- The Black Parade-  That song was an emo kids paradise , atleast from what I saw from them at lunch lol
-  Naruto apparently blew up this year, I do not like the show & wanted to SMACK a kid in fact wearing the dudes head band lol
- Minor emptiness due to That 70's show and Malcolm in the middle not being on, did not effect me that much nor did THE CW
- Hipster fashions slowly creep in  (10% would be wearing these fashions so it was not that big)
- Last year I remember the Economy being at it's peak until 2016
- Last year I remember The Mall being at it's peak
- Last year that had a dreamy glow to it
- Peak of Pop Punk
- Watching WWE's version of ECW die on itself
- Speaking of WWE, I fell asleep during many RAW's during this time
- Noticed TRL becoming very boring during this time ( I think this is when ratings were starting to drop more noticeably )
- Everyone was putting Youtube videos on their Myspace page
- BlackBerry Pearl seemed futuristic
- Cartoon Network started getting lame around this time
- Bape blew up
- Lupe Fiasco blew up
- Heavily stealing Wifi on my PSP
- Last year you would see CRT TV's in Best Buy
-Sam Goody closes and is not really making that much of a difference at this point
- Last full year that had the Surf Vibe to it  (The OC, Laguna Beach)
- Last year tramp stamps were big
- Last year of 50 cents reign
-Eminem heavily fell off this year
- Timbaland being all over the radio

BTW, since you were on YouTube back then, do you remember these types of videos being popular? Specifically the vids from Smashsomestuff.com? Seemingly, these were some of the first types of videos to be trendy on YouTube back then, during the Classic Era of YouTube, approximately before they switched to the Beta Channels.
(Two of these videos are from 2007 and 2008, so after 2006 which this thread is about, but they were still a continuation of this trend;)
