I have to say June/July 2005 had such a crazy vibe, everything was an adventure
people were more into hanging outside than usual this year
I mean mostly all of the 2000s until 2008 people were playing outside
There was something in the air that year

It really did. You described it in a way that makes it accurate to how I remember that year.
I really miss those fascinating vibes. Hahaha

Summer of 2005 was easily one of my favourites. I was 11, I lived in Texas and spent nearly the whole summer at my dad's in California, and also went to Oregon and New Jersey to see family. I remember my aunt had this big pool in her backyard and lots of kids would come over and play, there was something very fun about that summer. When I wasn't playing outside, I was probably playing Runescape and listening to Radio Disney. 2004 and 2005 were awesome years for music.

It also seemed like that summer would never end (in a good way)
It seemed like the days then would never end, teens in hoards of people skating boarding outside, Playing in a random persons backyard
(we used to backyard jump back then LOL) I remember Gamecube and ps2 were so much fun that year.

What a great year that was.
I remember hearing a lot of Kanye West, Rihanna, Mariah Carey, T-Pain, Pretty Ricky, Missy Elliot/Ciara, Bobby Valentino, 3 Doors Down, Rob Thomas, and Green Day over the radio that summer.
And who can forget movies like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The 40-Year Old Virgin, The Longest Yard, and Batman Begins?
Unfortunately, Hurricane Katrina made summer/fall 2005 memorable -- but not in a good way.

At times, 2005 feels exclusively Texas and Atlanta since I went to those states by then. Summer 2005 also feels high school and hotels to me.

One of my favorite summers, I visited Kansas City that summer and North Carolina later on that summer. I remember playing my GameCube all day during that time.
